  • Try it once. It won’t hurt you.

    There’s something here for everyone except those easily offended. Tune in to the early episodes for the craziest stories from dudes that don’t care about making a great show. These episodes have chewing, burping, fish tanks, sirens, and Chris. They’re amazing. You’ll also get to hear the lovely story of David’s family getting back together as well as meet some of the amazing people from the Dopey Nation. Tune into the 140’s for the most heartbreaking saddest episodes. Arising out of the saddest episodes is the story of the lovely Ray Brown. Ray is a great sidekick to David with Ray being huggable and David sometimes being punchable. The latest episodes are a more grown up version of the early episodes except that the filler guests really struggle to read articles, emails, and probably this review. The audio quality is top notch and the guests are somewhat famous. We don’t hear as much out of the members of the Dopey Nation but I think they are on more of the Patreon episodes. Give a few episodes a shot and drop your own 5 star review.

    I started listening this year to episodes from all the seasons, going back and forth between years. I keep coming back to Dopey everyday, for Dave and for the guests. Dave is a compassionate host, generous with sharing his feelings, and stays real. It’s refreshing to hear from Dave’s dad when he comes on, although he gets picked on and I think he may dislike it. Finally, I absolutely LOVE all of Ray’s segments and would listen to a Ray show if I could. Dave has made a great call by bringing on Ray IMO.

    I heard episode 143 the 1st time I went to treatment in January of 2019 and broke my heart and fell in love all in one. I’ve had a rough in and out of recovery but since getting clean again I’ve started listening from episode 1. I’m currently on episode 96 and have 414 days clean. I listen to Dopey everyday and I’d like to say it is a large part of my recovery. I love what you’re doing, keep it up and stay strong Dopey Nation! Toodles! -Linds L.
